THANKSGIVING MESSAGE FROM THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE WORKSHOP OF THE MISSION SECRETARIES OF AFRAM ZONE TO PROVINCIALS AND REGIONALS

From 8^th to 13^th March of 2009, we the Mission Secretaries of AFRAM Zone, gather together in Luanda – Angola, for the Workshop, to reflect on the role of the Mission Secretaries and at the same time, to get some orientation about how to work with the lay people in AFRAM zone, since it is our charisma and mission

Here in our meeting all the Mission Secretaries of AFRAM Zone were present. There were 8 participants, besides the Zonal Coordinator and the Generalate Mission Secretary.

In this 2^nd meeting of Luanda, Mission Secretaries of Madagascar, Mozambique, Botswana, Republic Democratic of Congo, Ghana, Togo, Kenya and Angola were present.

Of the various sessions that we had, different themes were presented by the Zonal coordination team: Fr. Rolando Reyes along with Fr. Xene Sanchez, gave a brief explanation and the clarification of the Manuel of the Mission Secretaries and how to collect funds to support the Mission Animation in our provinces and regions, and Fr. Pio Estepa, the Generalate Mission Secretary, talked about how to facilitate the inculturation of the Mission Animation work in AFRAM Zone, how to adopt in a realistic way the triple responsibility of the Mission Secretary in the actual context of the continent. Besides he talked about how SVD’s to promote and collaborate with lay people in the area of Mission Animation. We also had the explanation of the present reality of Angola and of the SVD missionaries work in province by Bro. João Furtunato Facatino in collaboration with Fr. Zeferino Zeca Martins, Provincial Superior.

This is the second meeting that we realized with all the Mission Secretaries of the AFRAM Zone, and the fruit of this meeting is the continuity of the Action Plan that was traced out in Lome-Togo, to animate the parishes where we are to give particular   attention to the youth and to be being hospitable with all those who visit us. We will give you a copy of our Action Plan as a fruit of our work realized in this workshop.

All the coordinators of the different areas of Bible Pastoral Ministry, JPIC, Communication and Mission Animation have the responsibility to motivate all the Characteristics Dimensions of the Congregation by encouraging and animating our confreres that they meet in the missions and also motivate and animate the lay people that collaborate and work with us.

With these few words we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the provincials and regionals that collaborated to have this meeting within the time stipulated. That the One and Triune God continue to shower is blessings on all of us, so that we can serve with humility and happiness were we work.

 MENSAGEM DE AGRADECIMENTO DOS PARTICIPANTES DO ENCONTRO DOS SECRETARIOS DAS MISSÕES PARA OS PROVINCIAIS E REGIONAIS DA ZONA AFRAM

Dos dias 08 a 13 de março de 2009, nos encontramos todos os Secretários das Missões da Zona AFRAM, num encontro realizado em Luanda, Angola para reflectir o papel ou o rol dos secretários das missões e ao mesmo tempo, receber uma orientação sobre como trabalhar com os leigos na África desde nosso carisma e missão. 

O nosso encontro esteve marcada pela presença de todos os secretários das missões da zona AFFRAM, 8 participantes, além do coordenador da zona e o coordenador geral da Animação Missionária:

Os Secretários das Missões de: Madagáscar, Moçambique, Botswana, Congo, Togo, Angola, Ghana e Kenia, marcaram presença neste 2º encontro realizado em Angola.

Das várias sessões que tivemos, os temas foram dadas pela equipa coordenadora da Zona: o pe. Rolando Reyes que coordeno o encontro junto com o pe. Xene Sanchez, que a sua vez explicou o rol e papel dos Secretários das Missões, entre tanto o pe. Pío Estepa, Secretario das Missões em Roma, abordou os temas sobre como inculturar o trabalho da animação missionária em África, adaptando-a no contexto actual do Continente, além de falar sobre a promoção e colaboração dos leigos dentro da svd na área da animação missionária. Tivemos também a explicação sobre a realidade angolana e os trabalhos que vêm desempenhando os confrades dentro da província. Este tema foi dado pelo Br. Facatino em colaboração com o pe. Provincial Zeferino.

Este é o segundo encontro que realizamos com todos os Secretários das Missões, e o fruto deste encontro é a continuidade do Plano de Acção que traçamos em Lomé, Togo, animar as paróquias onde nos encontramos, de modo preferencial na faixa etarea dos jovens sendo hospitaleiros com todos aqueles que nos visitam. O nosso Plano de Acção será apresentado a todos vocês como fruto do trabalho realizado neste encontro.

Todos os coordenadores das diferentes áreas: Bíblia, Justiça e Paz, Comunicação e a Animação Missionária, têm a responsabilidade de motivar todas as Dimensões Características da nossa congregação, encorajando e animando a todos os confrades que nos encontramos em missão, como também motivar e animar aos leigos que colaboram e trabalham connosco.

Com estas linhas queremos expressar nosso agradecimento a todos os provinciais e regionais que colaboraram para que este encontro fosse realizado dentro do tempo sinalado. Que nosso Deus um e Trino continue derramando a suas bênçãos em todos nós para que possamos servir com humildade e alegria ai onde nos encontramos trabalhando.
